National Vocations Awareness Week

During the week of November 5, the Catholic Church in the United States celebrates National Vocation Awareness Week. According to the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, the faithful are encouraged to dedicate our attention and prayer this week "to promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate and consecrated life through prayer and education, and to renew our prayers and support for those who are considering one of these particular vocations."

What can you do to honor Vocations Awareness Week?

Is there a person in your life who has left you thinking..."He would make a good priest!" or "He would be fulfilled as a religious brother!" Have you perhaps even thought that you, yourself would make a good priest or brother?

We have a video that we want to share with such men. We would like your help in spreading its message.

The purpose of sharing this video is to demonstrate that, no matter where your talents lie, these talents can be part of a vocation to the religious life. Do you ever think that entering the religious life would inhibit you from developing talents and following other interests? We have a few Augustinians who can address these concerns. If you find the video is not relevant to your personal journey, we ask that you take a moment to share it with another in recognition of National Vocations Awareness Week.
